Competency Based Behavioural Interviewing

For Whom

1.    Line Managers and

2.    HR Managers

responsible for selection interviews.

Introduction

Interview is the final and most critical step in the selection process. However, interviewing is seen as a subjective process prone to errors. Cost of selecting a wrong candidate is high; cost of not selecting a deserving candidate is equally great.

Today, the art and science of Interviewing has developed considerably. Traditional interviewing is now replaced by Competency Based Behavioural Interviewing. CBBI helps you to select the right candidate and prevents wrong hiring.

CBBI is used for matching the qualities and skills of the interviewee with the clear definition of competencies required for the position. The extent to which the candidate possesses those competencies is inferred from the analysis of the behaviour of the candidate in different situations.

A Competency Based Behavioural Interview is a structured and well-designed event free from individual biases.
